I have wanted these brass doors for ever. Got brass SQ217 a long time ago. Serial number 0003. That's how keen I was! Haven't used the SQ217 until I got these doors. Needed brass doors to finish off. Now the Fully brass SQ217 is the rightfull big brother to my fully brass SQ18650.
These SQ217 brass doors are beautifully machined and quickly age matched my SQ217. Easy to polish up to shiny-new if patina is not your thing.
Without any argument, this is the best built, high quality device I’ve ever had my hands on. It seems like they thought of everything. It even has a fuse for overload protection. Brilliant! It’s Light weight and I can see it lasting me for a very long time. And shipping was surprisingly quick considering I live in the USA.
Helps get your coil in the perfect position, especially when a shove down the coil is needed. I lived without these for 11 years, but they are super userful.
